The palace and park complex in Kozienice is the most magnificent monument of the city, whose history dates back to the reign of King Stanisław August Poniatowski. In the years 1776–1778, according to the design of the royal architect Franciszek Placidi , a brick palace was erected here, which was to serve as a royal residence. The eighteenth-century establishment included residential and utility buildings, a vast English-style park, as well as a column of Zygmunt and the Old, the cemetery of the Dehn family and a decorative tower.
After the fall of the November Uprising, the Kozienice family was taken over by the family of the Russian general Ivan Dehna , who lived in the palace until the city was taken by Austrians. during World War I.
