The production of writing machines at the "Łucznik" metal plants in Radom began in 1969 on the basis of a license agreement with the Swedish company Facit. Initially, they were manual office machines, which in 1971 joined electrical models, and in 1974 - handy suitcases. The Model Łucznik 1301 represented the solid industrial design of the PRL era and enjoyed great popularity both in the country and abroad. The plants also developed their own technical solutions, enabling the production of machines in various language versions - including for the Arab or Thai alphabet. Today, the "Łucznik" machines are a symbol of the technical heritage of the city and the hallmark of its industrial development in the 20th century.
