The building of the Poviat Local Government Association

The building of the Poviat Local Government Association in Radom is one of the most important examples of classicizing modernism in the urban architecture of the interwar period. It was erected in 1925–1927 according to the design of the architect Alfons Pinno to accommodate the administration of the Earth's poviat after reorganizing the state after regaining independence. The building, located at the intersection of Moniuszki and Sienkiewicza streets, is distinguished by a monumental, corner facade with a four -column Corinthian portico and a representative balustrade, as well as a coherent interior layout. During World War II, he was the seat of the German gendarmerie, and after the war - the Security Office and the PZPR City Committee. Since 1989, he has been the seat of part of the City Hall departments, maintaining its historical and administrative rank in the downtown landscape.
