Church Saint. Stefan

parish church Saint. Stefana in the police was erected in the years 1889–1894 according to the design of Jerzy Werner . Built red brick , on the "Strong> Latin Cross set , represents the neo -Gothic style , which is emphasized by two soaring towers , visible from afar and dominant over the landscape of the town. The founder of the temple was the Maria née Tyzenhauz, Countess Przeździecka , who allocated the impressive amount of 84184 rubles in silver , supported by parishioners (1,400 rubles) to neo -Gothic architecture. The main altar has a sculpture of Christ crucified made of linden wood . On the sides of the transverse nave there are chapels of St. Stefan and Saint. John of Nepomuk . Interior elements - pulpit, benches, confessionals, a sacristy door and a railing - also made of oak wood in the same style.

The presbytery contains images of two blessed martyrs of World War II , beatified by Saint. John Paul II in 1999: priest Władysława Miegonia , Fleet chaplain murdered in Dachau, and priest Kazimierz Sykulski , Pastor of the Policzna parish, shot in Auschwitz.
