Father Square can dr Zdzisław Domagała

Square Father can dr. Zdzisław Domagała is a unique space of greenery and memory located on the Radom hood - a district with which the patron of the square was particularly associated by most of his priestly life. Father Domagała was the first priest and co -founder of the parish of Our Lady of Częstochowa, as well as one of the main initiators and organizers of the Radom walking pilgrimage to Jasna Góra, which he led as a director for many years. His religious and social involvement left a lasting trace in the hearts of the inhabitants of this part of the city.

The square is located between the Mleczna River (along Szarych Szeregów Street), ul. Stefan Werner and ul. Józef Ignacy Kraszewski. Its name was awarded by resolution of the City Council on June 26, 2017, at the request of the local community, which wanted to honor the memory of its pastor and social leader.

From 2010 the square of the square has been overwhelming 36 oaks planted as part of the nationwide campaign "Katyn - save from oblivion" Katyn. There is also a occasional commemorative plaque dedicated to priest Domagale and marking the "Shadow hosts" trail , commemorating the activities of the Gray Ranks in this area during the German occupation. In the past, there was a fire reservoir in this place, which was buried so that the area could act as a park and memorial place.

Today this square is not only a place of recreation and walks, but also a space of conscious contact with local history - both spiritual and independence. This is a quiet corner of Radom, in which the present day meets the values that his patron represented - faith, social commitment and care for another man.
