"Łucznik" padlock

Padlock "Łucznik" is one of the less known but characteristic products of the post -war Radom industry. Its production began in 1959 in metal plants Gen. Walter - the new name given to the former weapon factory in 1951, in accordance with the ideological line of the authorities of the PRL. The change in the production profile was a response to political and economic recommendations - in this case, to the postulates of the 9th Plenum PZPR to increase the availability of everyday objects for society.

padlocks "Łucznik" quickly became a common product in all of Poland - used to protect basements, cells, gates, boxes and tools. Their simple but durable construction was a symbol of reliability in times of deficiency and simple technologies. In 1965, production reached the peak - over 331 thousand pieces , and by the end of the year 1966 the plant produced in total almost a million copies .

< and in home toolboxes. It is also a testimony of how versatile Radom industrial facilities were, capable not only of the production of weapons, but also solid elements of everyday equipment.
