Old garden park
Park Stary Garden is one of the oldest public parks in Radom, founded at the end of the 19th century in the former Bernardine monastery garden. Located in the central part of the city, near the milky stream and the city stadium, it has been a green oasis of peace, recreation and integration of residents for years. It is distinguished by the picturesque layout of the alleys, an old-age, charming bridge over the canal and a historic spatial system, which, despite the passage of years, retained its historical character.
In the interwar period, the park was the place of numerous cultural events and social meetings, and in the times of the Polish People's Republic he served an important recreational function, especially for the inhabitants of Śródmieście. In recent years, he has undergone revitalization, under which alleys, lighting and small architecture have been renovated, while maintaining its traditional atmosphere and system.
The old garden is not only a space of rest - it is also a witness to the history of Radom, a place of walks of several generations and a natural monument, which for decades shaped local identity. Today, the park is teeming with life - both among seniors and families with children and young people - invariably remaining one of the favorite places of relaxation of Radomian.
