Bank of the State Bank

The building of the former Bank of Poland in Radom is one of the most representative buildings of the city's downtown, closing the perspective of Moniuszki Street. It was established as the seat of the Russian Bank of State, which in 1909 commissioned the construction of a new facility due to the insufficient conditions of the current location. The classicic style was made by Zygmunt Słomiński, and the bank moved to the building before completing construction - just before the outbreak of World War I. After regaining independence, the building was occupied by the Bank of Poland, and during the occupation - the German credit fund. From 1945 he was the seat of the National Bank of Poland, then the District Court, and currently houses the District Prosecutor's Office of Radom-Wschód. Monumental facade with projections and Doric pilasters, a portico with a typranone, a flat dome and a decorated operating room with Ionian pilasters and a unique bond of the dome make this building an outstanding example of the official architecture of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
