The chemical cooperative "Świt", founded in 1954, became famous not only for the production of soap and pastes, but also from the dynamic development of the plastics department. Since the mid-1950s, a wide range of everyday use was produced here, including popular laundry clips , which became an indispensable element of home equipment in the PRL. Thanks to the innovative approach, in this independent construction of a mechanical injection molding machine, "Świt" produced plastic products on a large scale - from toys to elements for household appliances. Slippers from Radom, durable, simple and cheap, have gained immense popularity, inscribed in the everyday life of many Polish households.
