POLAM table lighting luminaire
A table lamp with a metal ball-shaped reflector, produced under the D-68 type, was one of the most recognizable products of the "Polam-radom" lighting equipment plant. Its pattern was based on a foreign project and introduced into serial production in 1976 - a year after the merger of the "Mechanic" and "Craft" cooperatives into one plant. The company's offer included as many as 37 fittings, and a lamp with a spherical lampshade, available at PLN 490, enjoyed great popularity in homes, offices and schools. Polam-Radom quickly developed the scale of production-he employed nearly 300 employees and over 200 cottages-and his products also went to export. The table lighting luminaire to this day recalls the memory of the functional design of the 1970s and 80s.
