CB-49 telephone camera

The CB-49 telephone was produced at the telephone plants in Radom and was one of the important achievements of the Polish telecommunications industry in the post-war period.

The phone had a classic, rotary number disc, which users shot to choose a phone number. The numbers and numbers on the shield were clearly visible, which made it easier to use.

• CB-49 was a camera of the central and bate system (hence the abbreviation "CB" in the name), which meant that the power supply came from the telephone exchange, and not from the local source of power in the user's home.
• The camera had a built-in carblot microphone and a handset, which ensured the right quality of conversations.

• The CB-49 phone was widely used in both offices and in households. It was one of the basic models of telephone cameras used in Poland in the 1950s and 1960s. which were one of the main suppliers of telecommunications equipment in Poland in those years. The production of this model began in 1949, hence the number in the name of the camera.

• Design CB-49 was typical for the post-war period-simple, functional, but at the same time elegant. The bakelite housing was available in several colors, although black models were most common.
