Civic resursa

Citizens' Resursa in Radom is one of the most recognizable monuments of the city and one of the oldest preserved public buildings. It was erected in the years 1851–1852 according to the design Ludwik Radziszewski as an elegant building in the classical style. Already after the construction was completed, it was rented by civic resursa -an elite socio-cultural organization, founded in 1829, which operated here until 1914 (with a break in the years 1861–1867, when the activity was suspended by the tsarist authorities). Military Hospital , just like during the Polish-Bolshevik war . In 1918 the building became the property of the city. During the Polish People's Republic, community centers were located here industrial plants-including Radom Garbarsków Zakłady and Radom Football Zakłady . From 1955 , the building, known to Radomians cinema, friendship and generation , which operated until 1990.

in the years 1986–1999 the object was the voivodship center of culture and art , and after the liquidation of the Radom province it was transformed Citizens' Culture and Arts Center , which is still working here, continuing the tradition of organizing artistic, educational and civic events.

The most characteristic element of the resursa facade are three classic museum sculptures : deck (comedy mums), melpomena (Mus of the tragedy) and euterpe (Mus of lyrical poetry and music), crowning the central part of the facade. They symbolize the many years of presence of art and culture here and are today an icon of the former splendor of the building.

Citizens' Resurs remains a unique place - connecting the past with the present , open to both local history and modern cultural activities in the heart
