"Bratek" telephone camera

The "Bratek" phone camera was one of the most recognizable models of home phones produced in Poland in the 1980s. It was established at the Radio Plant Marcin Kasprzak in Warsaw, but the assembly and a significant part of the production took place in Radom - in plants cooperating as part of the National Electronic Industry. He was characterized by a compact plastic housing, a simple impulse selector and characteristic, colorful colors-it was most often found in creams, green and brown. It was not only a functional device, but also a subtle element of interior design, standing out from earlier, more massive models.

For many people, pansy is today a sentimental memory of the first conversations with grandmother, neighbor or someone close. Collected by collectors and enthusiasts of the design of that period, he returns as a retro decoration and a material trace of times when technology was economical, but reliable - and Radom was an important point on the map of Polish consumer electronics.
