The beginnings of the monastery reach the second half of the 15th century , when King Kazimierz IV Jagiellonian brought Bernardine to Poland. The Radom monastery was fifteenth in the country, and the place for its construction was designated in 1468 . A year later, the Foundation was approved by the bishop of Krakow , and the first wooden church and monastery buildings were built in just a dozen or so months.
